Supply & Installation of mono-strand unbonded post-tensioned tendons & anchors, in both 12.7mm and 15.2mm sizes, all in accordance with industry standards.

Post-tensioning involves embedding sheathed high-strength steel tendons (cables or strands) within the concrete during construction. Once the concrete has reached a specified strength, these tendons are then stressed using hydraulic jacks.

Advantages of post-tensioned systems, resulting in cost savings, include:

Larger spans: structures can be designed with fewer support points
Reduced propping time: once concrete reaches 18mpa, tendons scan be stressed at the anchorage points and formwork can be removed; slabs are then back propped
Reduced slab thickness: post-tensioning can allow for thinner slabs, while maintaining structural integrity, thereby reducing concrete cost
